Try downloading the Logitech Unifying Software. It's easy to follow the directions. Bring up the Unifying software, turn the mouse off and on, and that should do it.

did you open the battery port and pull out the paper protection strip on end of battery's ? this caught me!

I have a specter + logitech mouse combo for my wifey; works great. On a side note, if you have the wireless mouse, it may need a new AA battery.

Did the entire plastic strip isolating the batteries from the mouse contacts come out? The switch is moved so that there is green visible ?
