• I tried with my new mouse and it didn't work. I had to purchase the set.

• Yes, you can use the keyboard alongside your existing mouse—they will work as two separate input devices on your PC. Please note: The MK270 combo comes in two variations—Unifying and non-Unifying. If you have a non-Unifying version of the MK270, you cannot share a single standard Logitech USB receiver with your old mouse. However, if both your MK270 and your mouse are Unifying devices, you can connect both to one receiver. To check if your device is Unifying or non-Unifying, look for the logo on your device and receiver. Unifying devices have an orange star logo, while non-Unifying devices do not have any logo.
