Yes it can be hooked up to a tv

Yes. I have a laptop with a usb hub. Sometimes I want to play on my big screen so I kept my keyboard hook up to the usb hub. No extra steps to switch from laptop to tv or any screen for that matter.

In order for the keyboard to work on the tv. You'll have to connect the the keyboard to an usb port on a console or PC or gaming streaming device (steam controller). Then use the video output to connect to tv. Now the keyboard becomes an input device.
