• As far as my tests have found, yes. I have tried putting third party mousepads over the charging surface, as much as tripling the thickness of material between the mouse and the charging pad. It continues to charge without flaw, so any size should work for you.

• It would not. The only mats that will work with POWERPLAY are the included fabric or plastic mats.
