Yes, it's plug and play with a Macbook. Once you plug it in you immediately have access to the webcam as video and audio input options on your mac. But to get the zooming feature you have to download the Logitech webcam utility

Yes it works with a MacBook. It's actually the only one I've been able to find that works with MacBooks. I bought this webcam to use with my MacBook about a year ago and it works great. Very easy to use and simple to install. The video quality is good too!
