No, it doesn't need to charge

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think so. It would get power from the iPad. There is a through plug to charge the iPad built into the keyboard. I really like it. It’s rigid and durable. Sometimes it stops responding but not sure why

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it does not need recharging! It runs of batteries that are built in! It's a great keyboard case. It is waterproof! Meaning the keyboard is sealed and smooth so that if you are cooking or something and drop water on it, it won't hurt it. It like to look up recipes and use my ipad when cooking so this is great for me!
