In my opinion, no. You need a flat surface to have this placed upon if you want to type because the back flap will be holding it up....and since the iPad is heavier than the case, it is a challenge. This "tent" style case is not for someone who wants to use their iPad as a laptop, unless they have a firm flat surface to use it on.....like a table. It has no spine so it cannot hold itself up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can, but not the best for lap. I’ve used it on my lap with a clipboard under it and it worked perfect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can, but it's not very comfortable. There are better solutions that can make your iPad more laptop-like if this is what you're looking for; this case is more akin to using a Microsoft Surface tablet with one of the type covers, in that it uses a kickstand to keep the screen upright.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. It is adjustable in many different positions. It's a great case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely, you can. But don’t expect it to feel the same as a laptop on your lap. It’s still fine, but It just feels a little different and you get used to it. The weight of the device is in the iPad, right? It works fine for me,
