• I guess that they have a magnetic shield, because I have them to the right and left of my monitor, and they don't bother it at all.

• Hello crispy! The Z150 2.0 Multimedia Speakers can be placed next to a computer monitor no problem. These are our entry-level speakers, and the housing is made of plastic.
