I connect via the 3.5 jack on my new IMac desktop. No static and amazing sound
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the speaker power is on, yes. If the speakers are turned off like they should be when changing input devices you should hear no such static. I never have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as the speaker set is on and the volume is loud you would hear it, regardless of any speakers. The best suggestion is to turn it off, plug in, and then turn it back on. Precaution is always better than rushing, especially when u value your product that u paid hard earned money for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you mean, does the auxiliary input jack cause static when nothing is touching it? - No. Otherwise, yes, you will always get that from any amplified speaker system - even a professional PA system. The solution, if that bothers you, is to turn the volume all the way down on the control speaker before plugging in. That's always a good thing to do anyway in case the source you are plugging in is loud.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not usually but if you have the volume turned up high this can sometimes happen. Keep the volume low when switching between peripherals and you should be fine.
