“Can you store ice in the ice maker? Do you have to put ice in frig or will it store in the ice maker???????”

• Hi Nicke, You would need to store the ice in the freezer. Unfortunately if it is not frozen the ice will melt. Sincerely, Lupita, Customer Care

• No problem storing short term in ice maker itself . If you need longer than 12 hrs, recommend storing in frezzer. The bucket will only hold about 1/2 gallon of ice.

• I put the ice this unit makes into a large zip lock bag. The unit itself will not hold the amount of ice it can make in a day nor does the reservoir have the capacity to hold the water to make the daily production listed by the manufacturer.

• After ice has been made I immediately place in large freezer bag until completely becomes solid, (1/12 hr approximately) the break apart with flat steel meat tenderizer, then place in refrigerator freezer compartment to dispense. Perfect every time. Use the unit because of contaminated lead levels in our water system...(Flint MI)
