All the Caseta switches or dimmers have to be within a ( 30 foot ) radius from the Bridge/Hub. If the detached garage is more than ( 30 feet ) from the Bridge/Hub, then you would need to purchase a wireless auxiliary repeateer to extend the range. I highly recommend you call our Technical Support Hotline at ( 1-800-523-9466 ) before you purchase any of the Caseta devices.
