Q: QuestionThe benefits state: “The smart bridge doesn't use Wi-Fi, ...”. So this implies the Lutron Smart Bridge is stand-alone so if you lose internet connectivity the Lutron bridge will continue to work with the app within the confines of the wifi network?

Q: QuestionI have an 8-bulb (blunt candle-shaped), overhead light fixture. I would like to incorporate a smart dimmer. Do I have to replace all 8 bulbs with "smart bulbs" or can this dimmer control the 8 "non-smart" bulbs?

Q: QuestionHow far is the range of the hub? Will it connect with switches throughout the house as well as a detached garage?

• A:Answer All the Caseta switches or dimmers have to be within a ( 30 foot ) radius from the Bridge/Hub. If the detached garage is more than ( 30 feet ) from the Bridge/Hub, then you would need to purchase a wireless auxiliary repeateer to extend the range. I highly recommend you call our Technical Support Hotline at ( 1-800-523-9466 ) before you purchase any of the Caseta devices.

Q: QuestionCan you put the switch into an existing wallplate that is already in your wall. Will it fit?

• A:Answer The Caseta in-wall dimmers and switches are designed to fit into existing standard sized wall boxes and use standard designer/decorator wall plate openings. When ganging with another control in the wall, Lutron recommends breaking off the metal fins on the sides of the control. • A:Answer Hello! This package does not include the Pico wallbox adapter (PICO-WBX-ADAPT), and is packaged as a single pole starter kit with a floating Pico to place anywhere. If wishing to mount it in a 3-way, it will require the part number mentioned above. Q: QuestionVery confusing directions.. The directions speak of a blue wire on the switch itself but there are only 2 blacks on the switch. I have 2 blacks and a ground in total. Which goes to the hotwire, as they're both the exact same???

PD-6WCL will only have two black wires, in a single pole (one location to control your lights) there is no polarity when connecting your hot and load wire.
