Yes, the Caseta Smart Bridge will continue to operate despite losing internet connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The bridge connects to your home network via ethernet cable. The bridge and components use a proprietary RF signal called Clear Connect RF Technology. In regards to your question, the bridge is acting as a the connector between the Caseta components and a WiFi network. If your house loses access to the internet the app won't be able to access your caseta bridge. I just rebooted my cable modem to simulate an outage to the internet. I couldn't bring up the app while on my home wifi. I disabled my wifi and went on my LTE connection. The app wasn't able to communicate with my bridge. The connection was lost. HTH
