“Right now I have an hp laptop not happy.I have an iPhone and ipad. I don’t game, watch movies,etc on my laptop, just mostly email. Will the Mac air be easy to use for a non techy person and is it capable of texting & emailing what about repairs”

Yes the Mac Air I believe to be user friendly. And with you already owning Apple product it should be even easier. The price is higher than others but its longevity is amazing. Texting and emailing are a breeze, it’s like having a bigger iPhone. And using your phones hotspot is a breeze as well
