• TOUCH ID helps you in using your bio-metrics (your fingerprint) to help you cut down on trying to remember these new fangled comedians. IT IS GREAT. I just recently got mine!

• TouchID is a biometric security device...similar to the older iPhones (prior to FaceID) as well as newer iPads. It is used in processing authentication controls. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.
