This Maytag dishwasher has heated dry. Yes that is a must for me. Great product.

Yes, it offers heated dry. No, you can’t run the dry function alone if you want to get things a little drier. Nor can you run it with the rinse cycle. You have to choose at least the quick cycle for the drying function to activate. I’d like to share that I almost return/exchanged mine because of the amount of condensation I was initially seeing. Then, I read that dishwashers have a breaking in period. I thought that was a bunch of hooey meant to trick me into keeping it past the return time frame. Just in case, I ran that baby empty over and over a few days in a row and saw a big improvement. I can only think there must’ve been some shipping oil that needed to be worn off. Then, (to appease the family member who hated the hidden control panel) I pulled it out from under the cabinet just enough for the control panel to be visible. Although there are no vents at the top or front of the dishwasher, I was surprised to feel some moist warm air at the top of the dishwasher during the end of the cycle. And, moving it out that little bit gave us another huge improvement. Now, only the door was showing condensation at the end of the cycle. So, I gave in and added the rinse agent that came with the dishwasher. And then, the entire dishwasher was dry at the end of the cycle. I had been reluctant to add the rinse agent because I don’t like the chemical smell it can leave on dishes. However, it was worth it to make sure that the dryer function could actually fully dry the machine. And the smell subsided after the first run. Now, I’m pleased with the purchase and can recommend the machine. I do still wish that I could run the drying function alone. Like when you have a load of laundry that gets almost there and you zap it for just a few more minutes. But, overall, I am satisfied. This was the only machine in my price range that offered both heated dry and garbage disposal. Those were the two features I really wanted. So, I’m relieved it all worked out.
