Please try again later.Hi Wayne, the Dishwasher is designed to vent down the drain, her is how: moisture condensate inside the tub, During the dry cycle, the tub will cool quicker than the dishes and the moisture will accumulate on the walls (Rinse Aid helps this entire process). That moisture will then form droplets and run down to the bottom of the tub and drain out. The only time you would see external, open air venting is when the dry cycle is interrupted.
