- Answer We just purchased this item today from Best Buy, and free delivery AND free installation (which is provided only on Bosch and Maytag) are automatically given by Best Buy. Most other dealers provide free delivery, but not free installation.

- Answer Around 2 hours. All cycle times are estimates in the manual as it depends on water temp, selected options, etc. For me a normal cycle with heated dry runs about 2.5 hours. There is the 1 hour quick wash which is nice.

- Answer Only the motor is warrantied....for 10 yrs. Our old Maytag lasted 15 yrs, the seller laughed and said he couldn't guarantee this new one for that long.

QuestionSomeone mentioned an exposed heating element? What do they mean by this? Is there a hot coil that could be easily touched inside? I've never heard of such a thing in a dishwasher? Does it melt plasticwear?! This is important to me.

QuestionWhere is the off button? When I have to open the washer after starting a wash, How do I stop the machine from running? If I open the door manually, water sprays everywhere over my kitchen and hardwood floors.

- Answer There's no dedicated off button on this machine. The PDF manual has the following procedure on page 10. Adding a Dish After Dishwasher is Started 1. Open the door slightly to stop the cycle. Wait for the spraying action to stop, then open the door completely. 2. Check whether the detergent dispenser cover is still closed. If it is open, the wash cycle has already started and adding a dish is not recommended. 3. If detergent has not yet been used (detergent dispenser cover is closed), you may add a dish. 4. Press START/RESUME I guess the gist of it is that the machine does not stop right away if you open the door. It appears to take a couple of seconds to "wind down". I opened the door a few times before I figured this out. What a mess. Anyway, once I found out about this procedure, I just unlatch and open the door slightly, and it will stop within a few seconds. Not as convenient our old Kenmore (it would stop almost immediately), but the Maytag seems to get our dishes cleaner. - Answer No, the rack does not adjust, but the bottom of the rack is stepped. The right side is lower, so the tall glasses and things go on the right.

- Answer No. It's in the main tray in the bottom. It's a great dishwasher. No more filter to deal with and all the dishes come out clean and dry. You never need to scrub your dishes clean before you load ever again. This dishwasher has made me love using my dishes again (instead of paper plates).

- Answer The high temp setting is not available with 1hr setting, but it cleans fine. I am not sure how much hotter the high temp setting gets. Heated dry is available with the one hour wash.

QuestionIs the handle made of plastic? How long will it the handle last? I have Amana , the handle broke so I cant open the dishwasher. All my dishes and pots are inside and I am locked out. Maytag wants $ 89,00 to open it.

- Answer The handle broke on our old Maytag as well. We had to use some gorilla action to get it open. What I like about this dishwasher is that it doesn’t have a latching handle. So there isn’t one to break.
