A:AnswerWhen I purchased this washer on the Best Buy website (I didn't see it in person in the store), I was under the impression it was not an HE machine because of it's huge capacity. However, when it was delivered, I realized it was HE. I've had two other HE machines over the years and found them to be odd and quirky at first, but once I understood the concept of the wash action, the low water levels and funny noises were not a problem. The clothes always came out clean unless I overloaded it. To answer your question, I looked online and found at least one traditional agitator Maytag washer: MVWC416FW.
