1) How do I best manage the machine. If I turn it off at night, then the next morning when I push the "record" button. It says there is no USB found even though the USB drive is in the machine. How to fix this? Thank you. null

I am guessing you are turning it off with the power switch on the box. Try turning it off on the remote, which places the box in standby mode.

Just pull the stick out and reinstall. It may not have been in well enough. I experienced this and once reinstalled had no reoccurrance.
