• yes and found out for a year its like $550 i sent the watch back cant afford it

• Yes, you subscribe to the service as a package separate from anything else that is AT&T connected. Keep in mind the monthly service charge includes unlimited access to the helpers on the other end of a Help call. They are very well trained and courteous. My mom can contact them and ask them to call me and have me come over if she needs assistance, not necessarily a 911 dispatch. Their reliance on a connection from a 3G signal has been the weak link on this product. Hoping and waiting for a 4G product with better signal.
