The MEE Audio transmitter box connects to the tv via digital or analog cables, Digital Optical S/PDIF Audio Cable being the best. By doing this, the box then becomes a Bluetooth transmitter of the tv audio which can then be coupled with your Bluetooth headphones, ear buds or Bluetooth speaker. Hoped this helped!

I connected the optical output from my tv directly to the optical input of the MEE Bluetooth transmitter (the special cable is provided in the box). The optical output from my tv is at a fixed level so I needed headphones with a volume control. Once you’re hooked up, follow the pairing instructions provided and you should be good to go. The good news is that I’m very pleased with the MEE unit so far. You could also use the provided audio cable instead. But it is also probably at a fixed level so you’ll still need headphones with a volume control.
