In my experience there the pairing stays and works automatically.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the headphones and TV speakers work simultaneously. I use the optical output. I paired the headphones during the initial setup. When I am ready to use them, I just turn the headphones on and they connect every time in a couple of seconds.

There is some lag time, you audio will have echo type sound if you listen to both at the same time. I am using the fiber optics audio out on the TV to feed the Bluetooth transmission
