• Only if the audio books is on a CD. It comes with wired earbuds and 2 AA batteries. You would have to buy an AC adapter if you want that.

• If your audio book comes on CD or MP3 CD, you can play it on this player. It doesn't come with a power cord. It includes 2 AA batteries.

• if the audiobook is on CD or mp3-cd format discs, then yes, it will play them without any special adaptation.
