It's a hardshell case, but if you put enough weight on it you will have some give. You could probably put several heavy books on it without any give, but it wouldn't provide protection from a heavy box of books.

If you open the lid part and grab the sides though you can sorta bend them in a bit, but not by much, it's pretty firm. Though I'm not sure how protective this case would be through an accidental drop or something like that. I gave this case a 3 out of 5 in my review of it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not hard like a Pelican case, but it's not a cloth bag either. It definitely has some rigidity to it, but you could easily crush it if you stepped on it. It protects the Quest 2 well from normal transport.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This Quest 2 carrying case is a hard case and no, it does not have any give to it. This particular case is made of hard cardboard so if you drop something hard on it, it will give. Also, it is not waterproof.
