“What all travel applications are available? I want to gift these to each of my family member over 80 years. I read somewhere that using google maps one can actually stand anywhere in the world…all major destinations covered in some other applications.”

There are quite a few. My favorite is Trip to VR. You are given a tour of various places around the world..I also have Wander which can take you to any site in the world in the present and past. I have Brink which is great for viewing some natural wonders and learning about them. There are some which teach languages but I haven’t downloaded any yet. Also ecosphere will take you to some lesser viewed sites in this world and show you how people live.
