• A:Answer Yes. According to one responder, this is a 12v 2 amp device. Amps describe what is available, so it is capable of supplying more power than you need. Volts, however, describe what you get. Plug 12v of power into a 6 volt device and you get a BZZZT sound and a cloud of black smoke.
