No. You buy the product via Outlook / Microsoft etc. You pay with a credit card and it will automatically refill your credit card on the exact date the next calendar year. Very convenient. They give you a heads up a few weeks away. Have to go in and change your credit card expiration date or card if it expires or gets cancelled.

You'll get a notice to renew -- and for who who knows how much next time around (unless there's some secret, true purchase option I've never been told about). Which is why I stuck with Word & Excel 2000 for as long as I could!
