“Is the same material used around USB port as the first generation model? I’m worried about it cracking/breaking like the first gen models did for some people..including me…thanks!!!”

My origonal Duo had the plastic around the port break. This one does not appear to use the same material. I doubt it will break.

No. The plastic is thicker and more durable. It's definitely improved from the first generation

Why worry- use a magnetic charge and data cable and never take out the dongle. The two-piece works great and won't stress anything. Reports are it was dramatically reinforced- but I opted not to worry about it and did the above.
