A:AnswerHey Steven,
If you’ve already purchased Win. 10 Pro for another machine, you’re able to use a digital license to reuse it on whichever machine you want. However, unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t allow you to upgrade from Win 10 to Pro for free.
A:AnswerWarranties may vary depending on the country you purchase your device in. Check out more about our warranties in various countries here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4040687.
A:AnswerPlease see our Surface storage chart for reference on the net SSD capacity after Windows 10 OS here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023513/surface-surface-storage. The memory requirements of Office will depend on type of product that you choose to download. A popular choice is Office 365 for personal use, which requires 3.0 GB of disk space.
A:AnswerIt says there is 237 GB total space. I believe you have about 217 available after basic programs are loaded including Microsoft Office. I only have 176 GB, but I've loaded quote a few apps/programs. I'm not really concerned because with my office 365 subscription of (~$100/yr or $7/mo) I get 1 TB of cloud storage; all my photos/videos/documents go into the cloud. Also, the SSD hard drive will still be very fast even if you find a way to fill it up.
A:AnswerIt's very sturdy, but I would not expect it to survive a drop on the corners. Pick something that's built well with hard plastics, like a Lenovo or Asus. All-metal frames are probably not what you want.
A:AnswerTo echo our community answer, the SSD stands for Solid State Drive. This is the storage capacity of the device. For this Surface Laptop in particular, the storage capacity (SSD) is 256GB.
A:AnswerYou may be able to research it, but I wouldn't. It's very Apple in design--not a single screw to be seen. I don't know how to pop it open and would not trust anyone, but a technician to upgrade hardware.
A:AnswerI love my surface. Way more versatile than the iPad. You can do so much more and not be limited on apple approve things. Also the surface is a true laptop or tablet vs the iPad is only a pad. If you are only surfing net then iPad is ok. Personally surface hands down for work and iPad for surfing.
