QuestionCan a usb hub be used with this laptop or an adaptor for memory cards?

- Answer You can, but there's a Surface Dock 2 that works on the charging port on the right side. It gives a number of ports including display output, and handles charging of the device. For quick and temporary use though, you can certainly use a regular USB dock or hub.

- Answer Would be really hard pressed to run MSFS with the Intel graphics card. Really need a nVidia or ATI card to run MSFS and have good frame rates with high enough resolution graphics.

- Answer Yes Its platinum version comes with Alcantara keyboard. other versions sage, black, sandstone comes with metal .

QuestionThe website states that this has one USB-C port and one USB-A port. Is the one USB-C port also used for charging or is there a separate port for charging, leaving the USB-C port available for other uses?

- Answer There is a separate port to charge with the surface charger, however you can also charge with the USB-C. I personally use the USB-C charger most of the time and my original charger at home, but you definitely have options.
