It’s a CD. However it includes a digital code. So if you go on Microsoft’s site, you can transfer the file you need onto a usb and then just input the code when it prompts you to. Hope this helps.

its a DVD - not compatable with very old JUST CD -ROM drives. most drives in the last 10+ years are all DVD
