Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has a little chip you stick in a USB port. I guess its a little chip. There's no cord. You turn on the mouse and it just starts working after a few seconds. If it doesn't want to work you will have to go to Microsoft's site and download the program for it. Its not that difficult. I bought this one for a temporary mouse. I prefer a ARC mouse. They didn't have one on the shelf. They sent me one overnight. Now I'm back to the mouse I like. I'll just keep that one as a spare. I hope this helps.
