Yes. I have used my regular controller to play games on my PC. It’s a simple as pressing a button on the controller and then on the adapter. The adapter will automatically connect the controller to the PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you can. I have the Xbox Elite controller paired to my laptop via this adapter. You should check to see if your regular controller will pair using just the built in Bluetooth Adapter in the computer, I think it may. When I did research on mine I think I've seen people being able to connect without the adapter. The xbox elite for sure needs the adapter because Microsoft already got $150 out me whats another $20 for an adapter lol. Sadly the technology is able to all pair, just Microsoft wants to be greedy. As far as connecting, go to your computers Bluetooth Settings and click on "add a new Bluetooth device" , then you should have an option to select "xbox controller, etc"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. I have used all of my Xbox One controllers on my PC with games that are compatible with the controller by using USB cable. 2. The adapter you can purchase is just an usb dongle that you insert into PC and then wirelessly connect your controller to your PC with the button on top of controller to sync device.
