• If you were previously using a Xbox wireless controller designed for Xbox One, it used a micro-USB cable. This controller uses a USB-C cable.

• The only ones use USB micro and the New one uses USB C So your old cable will not work with the new ones

• Because the xbox series x and s controller use USB type c cables, and the old xbox one controller uses micro usb, you need a new cable

• Hi there. The problem you are having is that is a controller designed for the Xbox Series X/S. They use a “USB-3.0” cord, instead of the normal cords they’ve used for years, it’s just a newer cord you should be able to buy the cord at any big store (Best Buy or Target, Walmart), anywhere really. You just need a USB to USB 3.0 adapter. Hope this helps
