“It says in the specs that the controller comes with batteries included, so I'm in a loss here, are the included batteries rechargeable? can I use rechargeable batteries and be charged while inside the controller?”

I received non rechargeable AA batteries. I would recommend buying rechargeable batteries by Microsoft for xbox controller. They are meant to be charged within the controller. Otherwise rechargeable AA batteries are recommended to be charged with their own separate charger. Hope it is a useful information.

At first I thought it might have been a previously returned item, but some reviews on another major retailer site which shall remain nameless said they didn't get batteries either. Reviews also indicated that when it does come with batteries they are standard non-rechargeable, but that there are rechargeable battery packs available separately.
