“Is there a danger of overcharging this device if cell phone is left on it? Also there was an additional rubber piece in the package that the instructions did not mention. What is that for?”

• I also don't know what the extra rubber piece is for, but my Samsung S22+ phone rests on it all night and never has had any problems with getting hot or other signs of overcharging or problems.

• No it should be fine if left on the phone, I'm not sure about the rubber piece it may be in it for packing, not sure.

• The device cannot be overcharged by your phone as the device itself cannot be charged. When comparing the additional rubber piece in the package, please note its closest apparent visual relative, and then infer that it may be a replacement or additional rubber piece.
