Will this charge your AirPods without the case? null

Ours only worked for 3 weeks. Gave it to my wife for Xmas and now I can't return it even though it only worked 3 weeks. Bought it mid December. Will see if morphie will warranty it. It will not charge her phone anymore. The watch part still works.
