• Sorry, you might have to ask Apple about that. I have the iPhone8 and it does not do that. When I place the phone on the charger, my phone turns on to the Lock screen only.

• Ours only worked for 3 weeks. Gave it to my wife for Xmas and now I can't return it even though it only worked 3 weeks. Bought it mid December. Will see if morphie ​will warranty it. It will not charge her phone anymore. The watch part still works.
