• No, you don't need to use an Apple Watch charging cord or iPhone charger. However, I've had problems, as others have mentioned, getting it to charge my phone.

• You do not need your charge cord. The Apple Watch is charged by the white magnetic disk that holds your watch in place. You can also charge your phone at the same time.
