“While my iPhone 5 and Mophie Air Red are attached and charging, does the slider switch on the back of the charging pack have to be ON or OFF? I have read the reviews and understand which side of the slider switch is "on" or "off" but I am unclear if during the charging process if the slider switch should be "on" or "off". Sorry if this is a silly question.”

• Leave it off until you need the battery boost. It will charge while it's off. Press the button to see how much charge it has -- should be all 4 lights if it's full.

• Keep it in the off position for charging from the wall. Only turn it to on when you're out and about and need to charge up just your phone from the Juice Pack.

• Off until you are ready to charge the phone. You can charge both at the same time, but it is slower and the battery pack will get warm. (the switch has to be on to charge both)

• I don't think it matters if the switch is on or off. I think if it's on, it just means that the power is being slightly drained while you are charging the case. To preserve the case's reserve power, slide the switch to the "off" position while charging. You may want to email Mophie tech support to be sure of my answer.

• doesn't matter. you can have the charging green or red and it will charge the same!
