• I have the 8Plus and the case fits my phone perfect. Al buttons aligned and work great. Did U deck to make sure u got the correct case for your iPhone 8. There maybe a slight difference for the buttons. Hope this helps. U may have also bought a bad case.

• Mine lines up perfectly. You may want to bring it back and have someone assist. That way if it breaks you didn’t break it.
