i would drain it first then recharge it over night. Mine charges full over night ok.

I would double check what your charging it with. Use at least a 1000mAh charger (1 amp) and then check to see if the flashlight is BRIGHT. Making sure it's NOT HOT (that would indicate to me an "over charge" rate or defective battery. Good luck, don't blow it up, they should be "18650" style 3.7v li-ion batteries internally.

Used a 2A charger and took about 12 hours for a full charge
