No tool and a tool is not needed in this case. I put in both a CDMA sim for RingPlus and a GSM sim for FreedomPop in back and forth and I can do it with my fingers without a problem. When I needed to get the sim out of my iPhone, I just used a tooth pick and that did the job as I don't have a special tool by my side.
