This phone gives such beautiful clear pictures. Video also rocks! The sound it gives when playing music is breathtaking! It is so clear and can get so loud! Phone calls are also clear. Seeing PDF files are also easy, and a necessary thing for school notes. I like this phone better than my older Moto X 2nd Generation. The battery on this phone is long lasting, and the turbo charger gives it a quick recharge. I am satisfied with this phone. I probably will have it for years to come.

Similar or better specs compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, yet it's $750 less!!! Love the light weight (easy to carry at all times), and that turbo battery charging is brilliant! I ran into a few issues though... check out my video review on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0E8DOmTz88

A Great Value for the Price

Impressive for the price. It's a companion to my other mobile, a Motorola Moto X style pure edition 2015. It's $100 less but almost as nice. It's lighter in weight, takes great pics, has more ram and storage, and in my use just as fast or faster in day to day operation. Screen and build not quite as nice but still satisfied, especially with the price. Design is a little boring but servicable. Recommended.

I have always been a fan of the Moto G series phones, and I must say this is the best iteration yet. Pros: - Snappy Phone - Respectable Camera - Quick fingerprint scanner - Turbo Charging is awesome - Solid Phone for the price - Near stock Android Cons: - Bigger than I would have liked (Wish it was 5.2in) - Some frame drops in more demanding games. - No Magnetic sensor (Compass) - No NFC - No Wireless Charging Conclusion: Overall this is a fantastic phone. I would recommend this phone to just about anyone one. If you are a "high end" mobile gamer, or require some of the more advanced sensors you may want to consider something else. If you are an average user (even above average) looking for a solid, reliable phone. Save yourself some money, don't lock yourself into a contract and pick up one of these phones.

Picked up two of these for family members who wanted the basics but nothing too extravagant. It has a nice, big screen with a decent amount of power, storage, and memory (4GB/64GB model). Although the resolution isn't high-end it gets the job done and might even be better for older users. The fingerprint scanner is nice as is the removable backplate with dual-SIM. Front and back cameras are relatively good. Storage is expandable but the connector is micro-USB rather than the new USB-C standard (which likely provides a slower host for microSD). Comes with a turbo charger that works very well. The processor is probably the weakest point but it does help ensure excellent battery life. Especially on sale this is still the phone to get for U.S. customers who want an affordable smartphone without all the frills and unnecessary software. Very happy with it on the whole. Manufactured by Motorola which is a subsidiary of Lenovo. The phones are being used on the Ting MVNO. Software has already updated to Android 7.x without any issues.

Good Intermediate Use, #1 Problem Gets Very HOT

This phone has great specs with 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and expandable with SD card. This is great for storage of large files, like videos & pictures, both downloaded and taken with device. But the memory and storage is not as effective for running (or having) multiple apps. It CAN bear more demanding apps like games, but does not handle them like the higher end devices (as should be expected). The price is a great deal, especially if you get it on sale. All basic functions are covered. Camera is a little under what was anticipated and cannot rely on it for great quality pictures. The #1 issue, however, is the drain of battery and EXTREMELY HOT temperature it reaches while Bluetooth is on and connected. Not sure why this occurs, but it is not easy to reverse once it begins. Even turning off the phone and letting it cool does not always seem to work. OVERALL Great Device for everyday use, Quick Charge Battery is great, as well as the extensive storage for various files. Not good for streaming MUSIC via Bluetooth to a speaker, running multiple apps, or attempting to use NFC (as it is not included). Photo quality would not be a good reason to purchase this device, as it does not provide pictures that you would be seeking if you are looking for a good camera phone. I WOULD RECOMMEND, but not expect much more ALL AROUND than the price point it is sold at! Hope this helps you understand the PRO & CON aspects of the nice "Vanilla Android" Moto G Plus (4th Generation). * Final Noteworthy Feature - Fingerprint Sensor is excellent and a great feature for the price.

I purchased this phone for my wife. Were grandfathered in to unlimited data plans but we can not subsidize a new phone or we loose our data. Verizon has been very bad about allowing unlocked phones that are powerful and reasonably priced (I.e. Nexus line of phones). Here comes this gem, it is compatible with Verizon! the 64gb of the Moto g4 plus model features 4gb of ram, a finger print reader that works well and an upgraded camera. So far the phone has worked great for her, this replaced her lg g2. It's nice seeing a clean almost stock Android Interface, it is very responsive on the phone. Screen looks good and photos have turned out well too. Definitely worth a buy if your looking for a great unlocked midpriced phone

This phone has all the features that i need, internal memory large enough to play/record HD video smoothly or open multiple apps without lagging. Speaker sound is clear as long as i can connect to my phone service and battery is last long just enough for me to talk all day (except when using GPS, it will drain battery quickly, but it is a common issues that most the phone now-a-days have). Camera for photo or video is perfect, i can record a video in true HD-1080p 29.4FPS. The software can be updated to Android 8 in the future (look up on Motorola website for more information about it). If anyone just use the phone to talk, text, browsing web, take a photo or video sometimes, use as GPS device for driving, or listen to the musics like i do, this is a best phone that suits your need (note that, the only downside, but i don't care is: this phone doesn't have magnetometer or compass sensor). I've been using it for a year now and have no problem with it, i even rooted the phone sometimes and restock to the factory firmware easily, the phone still work normally just like new. I think in this holiday sale you may have a better discount price than the time i bought it.

Excellent Phone, lets start with the specs Octacore processor, not the fastest but performs really well 4GB RAM for multi tasking and high demand of resources 64GB Storage ... more than enough for a while, plus Micro SD Expansion Good Rear Camera, and front facing. No Bloatware almost a clean Android install ... Did I mention that it's UNLOCKED... Yes it is Unlocked For the price in my opinion is one of the best phones for the money out ... Get it, you won't regret it ... Don't get me wrong, other flagship phones are faster and may have better screen and camera, but they cost the double or even more... I'm very Happy with my Moto G 4th Gen 64GB ... the 16GB Moto G4 has less RAM and weaker specs so get the 64GB

Over heats resulting in the OS acting strangely ++

I read over many reviews of the previous versions of the Moto G phones and I felt that it was to be a pretty safe purchase for me to do. I opted to buy the model with the best options, the Moto G4 Plus 64gb because of the 4 megs of ram and 64 gigabite of storage. The phone works very well but only for the first few minutes of high intensity use. I gave it a 2 star rating because unless I use the phone's game apps or record videos of my kids it works fantastic as a phone! After you use it for watching online videos, playing games or taking your own pictures/videos it starts to heat up and act up. The OS gets all crazy like and the screen starts to wiggle left and right and up and down. I had to put it to sleep mode for that to stop. Then the phone would work fine but not the video recording. The audio would get captured but the video would freeze up. I contacted Motorla and they suggested that I do a factory reset. I was hesitant in doing so because it took me 2 days to finally get all the apps I had on my old phone set up properly on this new phone, and it was only 9 days old. I decided I better do as they had instructed me to see if it would fix things properly. Unfortunately it didn't change anything. It is now past the 2 week return period so my option is to return to BestBuy and ask them to send it out for an analysis and/or repair under the warranty. I really am not too sure that a repair will take care of the phone's over heating and poor video recording quality. I would like to think that maybe I received a lemon and it can be simply replaced with a brand new one. I hope BestBuy will read this review and contact me ASAP to discuss my concerns. (Please note I stated that I would not recommend this phone only because of what my phone has been performing. If indeed my phone was a one off lemon and I do get a replacement then I will change my rating and recommendation accordingly.)

For the price this is an incredible price. Unlocked and not loaded with bloat ware. Excellent size and weight. Battery life is better than expected, I've been getting almost a full days use. This is my second Moto g phone the only complaint is they removed the second speaker.

This phone is a great phone and especially a great value. The camera is excellent, you can add up to a 128 GB sim card, and I bought the 64 GB model. I have plenty of room for all my apps. I have had it 1 month and it is everything I need in a smartphone without the HIGH price

Only had for 1week. So far no issues other than a msg that comes up saying a new update is available. I'm not ready to upgade and can't find a way to turn off notifications for update. Other than that it's been great. 4gb of ram is great. No slowing down from other stuff running. Camera the few pics I have taken look good. One was a school concert under low light and pic looks great. Camera gives lots of adjustments for different conditions and can be done quickly or go in pro mode and tweak more. I read about screen burn so set by stand by time to turn off at a shorter time of non use than other phones I have had.

I got this phone because in my opinion was the best I could get for this price, memory, storage and screen size, I love the fact that it is unlocked, after trying this I don't think I will ever buy a locked phone again, as far as the phone goes it's got a good size not too big or too small navigation keys are embedded into the screen which in my opinion takes too much screen space, cameras quality is not far from high end phones which is nice, battery life is about 8 hours if continually used, I like the finger print reader but it sometimes it takes several tries to read it will also get hot with heavy internet use or when listening to online music.

4g of ram and 64g of flash plus a fingerprint sensor (I'll never go without one now) at this price was a win. The extra ram keeps the device responsive even if it's not a high end processor. The 16 mp Camera quality is definite step up as well along with the quick gesture launch. No complaints with picture quality. Motorola continues to include it's always on Moto display so that notifications are right there. This is a great phone especially for byop plans as it has full band coverage for most any carrier. The built in FM radio is a bonus if you want to avoid streaming to save data. It's not an OLED screen, but no worries about icon burn-in which happened on my last device. Love the ability to turbo charge as well. Chop twice gesture is also handy for a quick flashlight.

I've always been a fan of Motorola since back in the day of flip phones. I bought the Moto G3 first, but it just didn't have enough storage for me. I decided to get the G4 Plus with 64 gb of storage to satisfy my thirst, and it has a much better camera! I absolutely Love IT!!!
