Hi Lauri, thanks for your interest. The original release date of the Moto G Stylus was last April 16, 2020. You'll need to buy a microSD card for you to use its expandable storage feature. It supports up to 512GB microSD card and it has been tested and carrier-certified to work with Tracfone. But, some service provider-specific features may not be available. Please get in touch with this carrier to get further details. - Mike
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The original release date in the United States for this phone was April 16, 2020. The SD card is a card you buy separately and insert into the phone right next to your Sim card in the same slot on the phone. It allows you to move apps, photos, videos, music and more to the SD card to free up space on the phone memory itself for adding more apps, photos, etc. By doing this it allows the phone to run faster (for surfing the web, playing games, using apps) by not bogging down the operating system with a lot of things you may not be using right now or that often. A lot of phone manufacturers don't just build extra memory into the phones themselves because of various reasons (costs more money, technology to do it doesn't currently exist, etc.). That being said remember that some developers don't make their apps able to be moved to an SD card so those apps would have to stay on the phone's memory. Also, some developers make their apps only partially able to be moved to an SD card so if moved to one they may not work as well as if stored on the phone memory or they may not work at all. Trying it is sometimes the only way to find out. Lastly, this is an unlocked phone so it should work on all phone carrier services but I would contact whichever carrier you are thinking about activating it on and ask them to be sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When I queried Motorola regarding features that would not work, I discovered that WIFI calling feature only works if you have T Mobile or Sprint. That is a big set back.
