Then the activation process will guide you through automatically transferring your number and data from your old phone. Yes, there is an activation fee from Verizon. They charged me $40 because I put a different phone on my account.

I used to use Verizon, it's excellent service but I just didn't like the stringent rules they have, the do's & in dont's. I take it you purchased your phone thru them? You mentioned having them unlock ur phone? Verizon can be a real pain sometimes when it comes to that but if you've spent the time allotment they require when you be 1st sign up they can't deny you & once ur unlocked you're no longer under their rules & in regulations.
