Fonelover - Both my roommate and I have been using unlocked phones on Verizon's network for almost 6 years (Moto X1, Kyocera Brigadier). Neither of us have had a problem with voicemail notifications on any of our phones and when I had Visual Voicemail on my Moto X1, it worked fine. I don't know what other cloud features you might be referring to, so I can't speak on those.
