Nope, this is an unlocked phone. No need to add any additional lines since you are purchasing the phone directly from BestBuy not the carrier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you do not, Or at least I did not and I am a ATT customer. I bought the unlocked model with no plan, all I had to do was switch the sim card. Although funny coincidence after I bought and activated the phone ATT sent me an email saying they upgrading my current plan ( Which I did not ask for?) After speaking with them on the phone they would not say why my plan was updated but changed it back to my original family plan. Not sure if it was just a coincidence or person at store added something when changing the phone over.
