Using the MI-7143 on a lipped desk can be a bit tricky because the C-clamps require a flat surface on both the top and the underside of the desk edge to grip securely. If your desk has a decorative lip or a support beam, you'll need to ensure there is at least 2-3 inches of flat depth behind that lip for the clamps to sit flush. Additionally, since this model is designed for desks up to 2.2" thick, a deep lip might exceed that limit or physically block the tray from sliding in and out freely. We recommend measuring the total thickness and the available flat space under your desk to ensure a proper fit before purchasing!
